Doctors and Nurses consultation times
Out Of Hours
If you require urgent medical attention outside of normal surgery hours (6.00pm to 8.00am and all day and night at weekends) please call 111 to speak to the NHS111 service. Calls are free from both landlines and mobiles.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
GP Cover when we're closed
If you require urgent medical attention or advice and cannot wait until the practice opens, please phone the NHS 111 service. Calls to 111 are free from landlines or mobile phones (although the mobile will require a minimum of 1p credit to be in place).
Use NHS 111 online (111.nhs.uk) or call 111. 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
On Saturdays and Sundays - The Boscombe and Springbourne Walk in Centre is happy to see patients no matter where they are registered. It is open from 8.00am until 7.30pm and patients can simply turn up on the day to see either a GP or Nurse Prescriber. The address is 12-14 Walpole Rd, Boscombe, Bournemouth BH1 4HA. Please note that this is a walk-in service and patients will be seen on a first come, first served basis; there are no pre-bookable appointments. Remember - Local Pharmacists are often able to give you appropriate medical advice.
999 should still be used in an emergency.
If you need urgent medical help when we are closed, please phone 111 for advice.
We are working to improve access to appointments for our patients, in particular at evenings and weekends. If you would like to be offered one of these appointments, please ask. These appointments may be at a different site e.g. RBH
